Halt bullies by moses samandar
Sick track, busting tha' bullies.
Gym parasite, I have multiple skills.
Dependable on self. Powerful mind and body.
Jealous ones' envy.
Monetary skill, economic power, great education.
You low-life, pardon me?
Bullying is a scum's practice, you superiority complex hatred fiend.
I will bully you back, crush your backside
Do not mess with this bully.
You shall be done up like a dead kipper.
But you know you are more meaningless than a kipper

Moses Samandar was born 1988 in England. He studied at Stanford University of Medicine and perused literature as a hobby. Since then he has been working as business head but is also in involved with publishing.
I know he is a reliable source because he has 20 successful poems and is involved with publishing.
I choice this poem because it shows how bullying or being bullied can change you for the worst. As shown by the line “Do not mess with this bully” this would be insignificant if he wasn’t bullied before. This shows how bullying can make you retaliate and become a bully yourself. This is a sad thing that happens a lot of the time you are being bullying so you take it out on other kids, this is what happens a lot of the time. Abusive parents can cause kids to lash out and hurt others. This is why I choice this poem because it shows how a bully can be being bullied himself. This poem fits my theme perfectly in that it deals with problems bullies have and why people bully others.
This poem takes the form of free verse, free verse doesn’t really have any rules and doesn’t need to rhyme. It this poem it works well because it allows the author to freely express his opinions with no restrictions or limitations. Personally I dislike free verse because they have no flow or rhythm which makes them hard to read and remember. The poetic form of this poem works though, it makes the poem more effective because the author can write without needing to rhyme or have to use specific work choices to accommodate the poetic form.
This poem uses quite a few literary devices in it to help the poem get its message across without directly stating what it means, a few examples of this include;
“Gym parasite, I have multiple skills” the author is using a metaphor to directly compare someone to a parasite. He is not literally a parasite but is comparing someone to one.
“You shall be done up like a dead kipper” this is an example of a simile. The author is using like to compare someone to a dead kipper.
“Gym parasite, I have multiple skills” this also a hyperbole. The author is saying that the kid is a jock or someone who spends to much time at the gym so he is exaggerating that the kid is a parasite to the gym.
These are a few of the examples that help develop the poems and increase the effectiveness of the poem. These specific poems really help the effectiveness of the poem because they make the author seem harsh and more like a bully himself
